The Institute of National Petroleum of Mozambique (INP), is pleased to announce the results of the fifth competitive bidding round for Exploration and Production Concession Contracts.
FIFTH MOZAMBIQUE LICENSING ROUND RESULTS – 28th OCTOBER 2015
At a public meeting at National Petroleum Institute (INP) offices at 12 noon today, INP announced the closure of the Mozambique Fifth Licensing Round.
INP has received applications from companies detailed on the Press Release.
MOZAMBIQUE FIFTH ROUND APPLICATIONS – 30th JULY 2015
The Petroleum Operation Regulations are now available to be downloaded from the Application Documents Page.
At this time the Regulations are only available in Portuguese.
The Fifth Round is scheduled to close at 12:00 mid-day on Thursday 30th of July.
Following the AAPG in Denver and the EAEG in Madrid, INP is providing an update on the Mozambique 5th License Round. The 5th Round will close on the 30th July 2015.
GENERAL
Companies are reminded that all material is available for download from www.inp-mz.com including the “Application Guidelines”. Companies are advised that there have been some small changes to the Areas on offer in the offshore Angoche and onshore Pande Areas as detailed below.
- Rovuma Area
There has been a recent relinquishment in the Rovuma by ENI. Additional 2D/3D seismic and well data is now available from INP.
- Angoche Basin
Area A5-A has been updated so the area lies outside of the 200m water depth contour.
- Zambezi
No changes / updates.
- Onshore Blocks
There have been some small updates to PT5-C Area.
The updated geographic information is now available for download.

The Fifth Licensing Round is now scheduled to close at;
12:00 noon on Thursday 30th July 2015.
The opening of the Fifth License Round was announce in Maputo and London on the 23rd October 2014. A total of fifteen blocks are included comprising some 76,800 sq kms of acreage in the offshore Rovuma, offshore Zambezi, offshore Angoche, onshore around the Pande-Temane concession and onshore Palmeira areas.
Further details of the Fifth License Round, including Application Guidelines, the Model Contract, the Petroleum Law, Petroleum Regulations, Bidding Parameters, Technical Data and Data Packages and Data Room access, are available and posted on the license round website at www.inp-mz.com.

Following representation from the industry, the National Petroleum Institute (INP) is pleased to announce that the deadline for applying in the fifth licensing round has been extended to allow companies additional time to complete their applications.
The Fifth Licensing Round is now scheduled to close at;
12:00 noon on Thursday the 30th April 2015.
The opening of the Fifth License Round was announce in Maputo and London on the 23rd October 2014. Mozambique 5th Round Presentation has now been updated and is available for download on the Application Documents page.
The Institute of National Petroleum (INP), on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique, is pleased to advise that a competitive bidding round to explore for hydrocarbons in the offshore Rovuma, offshore Zambezi and Angoche and onshore around the Pande-Temane concession and Palmeira areas will be announced in London on 23rd October 2014.
The formal Announcement, which will be held for invited companies at the London Hilton Hotel (22 Park Lane) on 23 October 2014.
A total of fifteen blocks will be included in the 5th License Round, comprising some 76,800 sq kms of acreage will be included in the round. The 5th Licensing Round is scheduled to close on 20th of January 2015.

ERCL was pleased to participate in the HGS-PESGB 13th Conference on African E&P, “Africa: A World of Opportunities”, held in Houston in September 2014. This annual event provided an opportunity for ERCL to demonstrate some of its ongoing projects in Mozambique, Namibia, Madagascar and Equatorial Guinea to oil company delegates.
